Privacy notice

Effective 1 August 2026

This notice explains what Sigma Reef collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to describe what actually happens, not to promise controls or certifications we do not hold.

Who we are

Sigma Reef is a founder-led WooCommerce growth and operations practice led by Sidney Rees, operating from Victoria, Entre Ríos, Argentina and delivering remotely to brands in the United States. For any question about this notice, or to make a request about your information, write to hello@sigmareef.com.

What this notice covers

It covers information collected through sigmareef.com. It does not cover client data we process during a paid engagement: that is governed by the signed agreement, the statement of work and, where required, a data processing addendum. In an engagement the client remains the controller of their store, customer and order data, and we act on their documented instructions.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us, plus the technical records any website generates.

  • Details you submit through the fit-check or contact forms: name, work email, store URL, revenue band, stated priority and the context you write.
  • The content of any email or WhatsApp message you send us.
  • Standard server and delivery logs kept by our hosting provider, including IP address and browser user agent, used for security and availability.
  • Answers to the on-site scorecard are calculated in your browser. They reach us only if you choose to send them.

How we use it

To answer you, to assess whether a paid Diagnostic is justified, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep records of our commercial conversations. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Cookies, analytics and the service worker

This site does not currently load third-party analytics or advertising tags, and sets no advertising cookies. A service worker may store pages in your browser so the site remains readable offline; you can clear it from your browser settings at any time. If we add analytics in the future, this notice will be updated before that change goes live.

Who else sees your information

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf as part of delivering this site and our correspondence.

  • Our website hosting and content delivery provider.
  • Our email provider, for messages you send to us or that we send to you.
  • Any tool named to you in writing during an engagement, under the terms of that engagement.
  • Authorities, where a valid legal obligation requires disclosure.

Where your information is handled

Sigma Reef operates from Argentina and its providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. If you contact us from the United States or another country, your information will be handled outside your jurisdiction.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept while they remain commercially relevant and then deleted. Records connected to a signed engagement are kept for as long as the agreement and applicable accounting or legal obligations require. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless we are required to retain it.

Your choices

Write to hello@sigmareef.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to stop receiving messages from us. We will confirm your request and act on it within a reasonable period. Residents of US states with applicable privacy laws, including California, have these rights by statute; we extend the same handling to everyone who asks.

  • We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that basis.
  • We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
  • If you are unsatisfied with our response, tell us and we will review it directly with the founder.

Security

We use credential management, multi-factor authentication where the service supports it, least-privilege access, and access removal when an engagement ends. We do not claim any security certification. If we become aware of an incident affecting your information, we will notify affected parties as required by the applicable agreement and law.

Children

This site is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this notice changes, the effective date above changes with it. Material changes will be described on this page rather than made silently.
